Let's Catch Freedom! #1: Adam Smith and The Wealth of Nations
6 January 2011
Ljubljana Castle
Admission was free for all participants.
In the first lecture of the Let’s Catch Freedom! series, we discussed the life, work, and ideas of Adam Smith. His work, The Wealth of Nations, was published in 1776 and still counts as the foundation of economic thought. It has recently been translated into Slovenian.
For this occasion, we invited Bernard Brščič, MA, from the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, who also wrote the introduction to the Slovenian translation of the book. Brščič is a connoisseur of classical economic thought and a great teacher who loves to share his knowledge with students and others interested.
Svetilnik annually commemorates the birthdays of great thinkers who have influenced libertarian philosophy.
