Mises Day 2013
29 September 2013
Sputnik World Cafe, Ljubljana
Admission was free for all participants.
Sunday, 4pm - 7pm
In partnership with Ibex - mladi za svobodno prihodnost we celebrated the anniversary of the birth of Ludwig von Mises.
Mises has through literature, lectures and informal groups emphasize the importance of ideas. He was and remains to be an inspiration for discussions and arguments. We continued this tradition with this event.
Did you know that Mises was born in the same country as his Slovene ancestors, the Austro-Hungarian Empire? That he was the first to refute socialism and show that a socialist planned economy could never work? That he predicted the Great Depression? This and more were presented by Rok Novak in a short presentation at the beginning of the event.
At the event, the participants were greeted by a relaxed atmosphere, leaflets, free books and good coffee.
